WordPress 3.3 and Organize Series

It’s official.  WordPress 3.3 has been released and with it a lot of great stuff for WordPress users.  I know a lot of you are probably wondering if Organize Series works with WordPress 3.3.  There are a few minor incompatibilities between the current version of Organize Series and WP3.3 – I’m almost ready to release the next version of Organize Series that is fully compatible with wp3.3 and as soon as it’s ready you’ll see the announcement here.

When?  Before the end of the week.  I want to upgrade all my sites too!

Feature idea. Any plans to offer the ability to insert X series list of posts manually into a post wherever I want it? and maybe float it to the right or left or something, to make it fit exactly how I want it.

Hey Jonathan,

You can do this very easily with the Organize Series Shortcodes Addon (you can purchase it here).

You also can do some of what you want via the Organize Series Options page but it will apply to all posts in series. The shortcodes allow you to control the placement of the series info per post.

Thanks Darren. Once of the incompatibilities exists with the “Latest Series” widget.

I had placed it in my side bar and after upgrading to WordPress 3.3 displays the error message

“Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/virtudwt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/organize-series/orgSeries-template-tags.php on line 658”

Glad that you are planning to release an upgrade before the end of this week. I can’t live with out it. Neither my blog. Thanks for the hard work.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year…
